Yunmeng jiang sect
(云梦江氏)
The Yunmeng Jiang Sect is a cultivation clan based in Lotus Pier (莲花坞). Yunmeng is known for their waters and beautiful scenery while the sect is commonly known for its motto: “Attempt the Impossible (明知不可为而为之)".
Gusu lan sect
(姑苏蓝氏)
The Gusu Lan Sect is one of the five great clans and is based atop a mountain near Caiyi Town (彩衣镇) in Gusu (姑苏). This region is famous for its Emperor’s Smile (天子笑), an alcoholic drink; however, the sect rules, which number in the thousands, forbid drinking.
Lanling jin sect
(兰陵金氏)
The Lanling Jin Sect is another one of the five great cultivational clans with their residence in Koi Tower (金鳞台) in Lanling (兰陵). Lanling Jin is known for spending money on luxurious items and planning huge parties.
Qinghe nie sect
(清河聂氏)
The Qinghe Nie Sect is located in Qinghe (清河), which is at the foot of the Qishan Wen Sect. Their stronghold is The Unclean Realm (不净世). Qinghe Nie is known for its cultivation, which is slightly different from that of the other sects and will be explained further in the novel.

The Qishan Wen Sect was based in Nightless City (不夜天城), which is located right above Qinghe Nie’s territory.
